Apostille Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates in Argentina for use in the United States and abroad
We obtain and authenticate Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates from Argentina when required for presentation to authorities abroad.
Birth certificates (Acta de Nacimiento), marriage certificates (Acta de Matrimonio) and death certificates (Acta de Defunción) issued in Argentina can be certified with a Hague Convention Apostille stamp from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto).
Authorities of countries that have signed the Apostille Convention will recongnize Argentinian Apostilles directly as confirmation of authenticity. How to obtain a certified copy of an Argentinian birth, marriage or death certificate
Birth death and marriage certificates
Certified copies of birth death and marriage certificates can be obtained in Argentina from the
Civil Registry (in Spanish) (Registro Civil) of the municipality or rural area in which the birth, death or marriage was registered. These are normally issued digitally with a verifiable electronic signature or QR code.
Certified translations of Argentinian death, marriage and birth certificates
When presenting Argentinian marriage, death and birth certificates in countries which do not have Spanish as an official language, then a certified translation may be required. The certified translation must meet the requirements of the destination country, so that a translation done locally in Argentina will require certification with an Argentinian Apostille Stamp or by the embassy of the recipient country in Buenos Aires.
To be valid for an Apostille stamp, translation of birth, death and marriage certificates should be certified by a public translator (traductor público) and legalized by CTPCBA – Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
Isarey works with local notaries and sworn translators in a wide range of destination countries. We'll take care of the entire legalization and translation process, so that your certificates are correctly translated and ready to submit:
- GERMANY: translations into German must be certified by an officially authorized and appointed sworn translator.
- FRANCE: translations into French must be certified by a translator accredited by a French court of appeal (Cour d'appel)
- ITALY: translations must be authenticated by a Court Clerk or by a Notary Public in Italy
- PORTUGAL: translations into Portuguese can be certified in Portugal by a local notary
